Long Distance F150

Making the same trip in late June myself from WV. Curious to my fuel mileage. The hills where I live kill my fuel mileage. Power in spades but an incline kills the mileage quickly.I am currently in the 15's. I am glad I got the 3.73's. Not a lot of pedal on the hills in 6th before it wants 5th. No complaints. The Coyote is like a Jekyl and Hyde. Lugging it around it feels a little different from the 5.4 in my 03 Expy. As soon as you nudge the throttle though the motor comes alive. I have a blast driving it. Anything higher than the 3.73's and I would have regretted. At least where I live. My "other" 302 in my 91 Mustang has 4.56 gears and it cruises the interstate effortlessly at 3,000 rpm in 5th gear (T5). But then again, I shift it at 7500.

I went 400 miles round trip in February. I averaged between 18.5 and 19.0 MPG. 2011, 5.0 with 3.55 gears.
