Yeah but it's hard to compare a 09-10' to a 95ish. I came from an 06 chevy and while I love my ford more, I do miss the 5.3 at times.

So your new truck towed a 12 year old at least Chevy. Do you really think your truck will be trouble free in 12 years? No one knows how his truck was maintained. If he didn't keep the oil changed and perform regular maintenance he should have blown a motor. If you don't take care of your Ford the same thing will happen and then someone else may be laughing at you.

I get a kick out of those retarded cheby owners who say "man this chevy is the best truck there is!! I only put 3 engines and 5 trannys in it...."
Ah that's not my idea of a great truck....my idea of a great truck is a all original (that means the engine and tranny that came in the truck to you chevy lovers) and it have 250-300,000 miles.

That's right

And I've had 2 Z71's with no problems and after all the weird trans shifts and sounds in this new ford I'd be grateful if I got 150,000 out of it. They are both great trucks, best 2 on the market IMO. I couldn't put either one over the other.

Well...umm I put 350,000 plus miles on my 2001 F150 Lariat...that is 9 years (not 12) and was still running great when we parted ways. It had the original engine...and original tranny! Dont think the OP was really trashing anything...just giving his friend a hard time in return for all the negative things he said about Ford. Some people need to lighten up a bit! These post election blues has hit some of you hard....LOL.
