Default Locked out of my truck!

Well Monday started out great when I couldn't unlock my truck to go to work... the remote and keypad won't work because the battery is obviously dead but why the hell does the key not work either? This freaking sucks.

Did you try some oil or wd40 in the lock? It Might free it up.

Not sure what South Carolina winters are like.... But if it's cold have you washed it recently? Mine froze up after washing once, and sticking the straw of a WD40 can into the keyhole loosened it up enough to make it work.

Unfortunately it's 50 degrees here so that's not the case.... haven't tried WD40 yet had to get a ride to work with no tools.

A new battery for your remote will be MUCH cheaper than the locksmith!
