Llumar tint suggestions
I've booked an appointment in a couple of weeks to have my front windows tinted. They guy said he will be using a llumar ATC tint--I've chosen 35%, but might change my mine and do 15%..
Any thoughts on the ATC tint? He also said there was a CTX tint but had a glossy finish to it, I didn't want that. Any advise will be great! Thanks. |
llumar is the best, i have 15% on my front windows

I wouldnt do 35% but thats just me. I would at least the the factory dye glass which is generally 20%. I went with 5% in the front and 20% over factory in the back windows but thats me and some people dont like that dark of a tint.

I've got CTX I'm not sure what "Glossy" finish means exactly. CTX is their premium ceramic line of tint. Its claim is less interference for things like GPS, NAV, Bluetooth etc etc. I'd have to google the ATC tint. Here's what the 20% CTX looks like btw: Attachment 572869 |

I had 20% on the fronts. Didn't realize how much too dark it was until I got a ticket and changed it to 35%.
The 20% was too difficult to see out after dark. The 35% is much better for visibility. |
I also have Llumar tint. I am not sure if it is ATC or CTX, I didn't think to ask at the time. I went with their 15%, but the specs list it at 18% VLT. It is a bit dark, but it is not so dark that it is hard to see at night.

That looks good cruiser.. I'm leaning towards that exact setup. I emailed an installer who is pushing me towards formula one pinnacle which are also ceramic. He said the ctx has a "bluish hue" I never noticed the blue on my old car but as long as it looks close enough to the factory rear tint color I'm ok with it. Thanks for posting
