What do you guys think on the lighter wood trim standard on the lariat today my Dad and I went to the dealership in his 2010 f150 lariat that has the darker wood trim and he wanted to trade his in for a 2011 lariat with the 6.2l v8 since he likes big engines. he did not trade it for two reasons first the towing mirrors standard when chossing the 6.2l v8 engine thats just stupid from ford! and he disgusts trucks with towing mirrors then he doesnt like the lighter wood he says it makes the truck look cheaper but thats just his opinion and i agree with him what do you guys think?

Tell him to buy it and I am sure he can trade his mirrors. lol and i hate the wood

LOl not a bad idea but his truck is pearl white and the 2011 is black so mirrors dont match but i cant see why ford forces you to put towing mirrors when adding the 6.2l v8 i mean is not like if your adding a towing package or something really wierd i hipe the 2012's stop doing that then he will trade it. and about the wood theres just no solution lol what a bummer!

get a platinum or a limited, problem solved. I didnt like the 2011 light wood lariat either, but i didnt want the gas guzzling non e85 using 6.2 either so i didnt like the limited. Sounds like a limited would be perfect for him though, its only a couple grand more than a fully loaded lariat. I decided to keep my 2010 for a while longer and see what happens. Might get a platinum with a 5.0 if i do go for a 2011.

I hate the lighter wood! The dark wood looks great though!

Hey!! Some of us like the light wood. I actually despised it until I saw it in person then I changed my mind. Or maybe I just can't stand to wait another 3 months to order a new one, assuming mine shows up tomorrow. It's a nice change from
Staring at the dark wood for the last 6 years. You can always paint it or get it hydrofilmed

seems nobody like the light wood lol!... No he is a lariat man he wont change trim over anything lol in 2006 he bought a lincoln mark lt because i was telling him that it was nicer he purchased it but it ended all scratched and they stold the chrome parts the grill and broke into it twice since then he continues his lariats over any truck because they dont get much attention as a lariat limited or a platinum or HD or raptor altough when he got me my fx4 he thinked twice about the lariat lol.

@spunkymonkey i think your just anxious lol :P well everybody has diffrent tastes but always in my opinion light wood looks cheaper than the dark wood... id you dont liek it you can get one of those kits they sell but dont expect it to be oem quality y ordered a carbon fiber one for $250 dlls horrible plastic flexible it ended up in the trash.

Technically its called the Lariat Limited. if you look at a fully loaded lariat and a lariat limited the only difference besides the fact you can only get the 6.2 and white color is the power running boards, grill, dash color and seats are a little different. Otherwise its the exact same thing.

Thats the problem starting with those huge rims and lets say it looks like a luxurous fx2 doesnt it thats what comes into my mind when i see one.
