Default Light inside visors without vanity mirrors?

I have a '13 FX4 that I purchased new March of '14. So I'm driving home from work the other night and out of nowhere a light comes on inside of my driver's side visor that doesn't have a vanity mirror. WTH??? I've had this truck for 19 months now and this just happens for the first time the other night. So I continue to smack the visor and the light will randomly go out but inevitably comes back on and when it stays on for a while, it begins to get the fabric on my visor pretty hot. I can't see it during the daytime but if I feel the visor, sometimes it is very hot. I'm afraid because it stays on even when the truck is off that it's going to catch on fire eventually. Am I the only one to have this bizarre problem? I guess I could try and remove the visor and see if I could unplug something going up into the visor or should I just take it to the dealer and let them do something about it under warranty?

I had this happening when I had the visor down on the driver side, the the mirror cover was loose which caused the light to com on. There is a tsb-13-5-30, I took it in and they said I would have to pay to replace it and it was $220 because it has the garage door opener, I told them no I'll do it myself. I went on Tasca and bought a whole new visor without the garage door opener for $35+ shipping and just swapped the mirror portions, problem solved.

That's a little bizarre? Sounds like some Tom foolery took place.
Does your visor have home link on it?
If your warranty is still good. Bring that right back.
What option pack, did your truck come with? If I remember correctly, my window sticker listed dual lighted mirrors.

I'm clearly an idiot here. I do have the lighted vanity mirrors in my truck. I have a visor organizer attached to the top of my visor that I put on the day I drove it home so I never knew it had a mirror under it. I am seeing the light come on through the bottom of the visor. I think I have this TSB 13-5-30 problem that DanielK mentioned. I have the 401A package so no homelink door opener in mine. I'll be making a service appointment here soon. Thanks everyone for all your help!!

Just put a little something on the back side of the vanity door where the switch hits. It's probably just not getting pressed down enough to shut the light off.
You bought an f-150. You're clearly not an idiot!

I'll fix it up temporary for sure just so it doesn't catch on fire and I don't have to bring it in just for this. I got plenty of warranty left so it will be in for something eventually.
