Lift or not???

I am new to the forum so please take it easy on me. I have a '13 FX4 that I am thinking about a 4" lift. I am concerned that if I lift it, it will no longer fit in my garage. Is there a way to figure out how tall your truck will be after lifting it? My truck is leveled and I currently have 33's. Anyone on here that has this setup that knows? Thx

Most 4 inch kits are 3.5, but you will have to check with the specific manufacturer. Simply add 4 inches to your current truck height. If it fits in the garage now then pull it in until the highest point is at its even with the lowest spot of the garage opening. Do you have 4 inches of space?

Rockjock- i appreciate the response. My truck has been leveled so that adds about 2.5". Is that correct? So in theory, I only need another 1.5"? Do you agree? Thx for the help.

Correct in a way. First I don't know about stacking level kits. Second most level kits only lift the front so another level will put your front higher. You could get four inch spacers for the front and put a block in the rear but once you get to around 2.5 with a level and not a true lift kit you really start throwing off your geometry and can cause significant issues with your suspension components.

you can not stack leveling kits. you might be able to stack a level and a lift though.... either way drive the truck part way into the garage, get out, climb into the bed and measure the distance left. I was shocked at how much space I had remaining.

Dont forget to add the height of larger tires if doing so

I apologize for not being clear. I am not stacking leveling kits.. I will remove the level and add a complete 4" lift kit. I am worried that the 4" lift, my truck will not fit. Sorry for the confusion but appreciate everyone's input.

Yeah just measure how room you have now. I have 4in with 35s and have plenty of room. Will be adding a 2 in spacer to mine for more height.
