Lift or level for 33's?
I have ordered a new '14 FX4 and I'm trying to figure out my suspension mods before it comes in.
It's going to have the 6.2L and 3.73 axles. I would really like to stick with a 33x12.50 tire and no more than 4" of lift, to hopefully be able to enter parking garages and my 7' garage. I figured 33's would not result in a massive power/mileage loss. Can a 35" spare tire fit under the bed like the Raptors?
I've been researching the F150 Lifts Bilstein kit, the BDS 4" kit, and the Icon coilover kit. I have listed them in order of price, lowest to highest. With the BDS, I'd be using the OEM struts for a little while before upgrading to possibly a coilover. This truck will be driven 98% of the time on the road, and the off-road it sees will be in he field on the farm. No jumping it or rock crawling.
Mainly looking for a slightly more aggressive look, slightly taller all-terrain tires, and the best ride possible. Want it to soak up rough bridge expansion joints, potholes, etc, but ride firm enough as to not get a lot of body roll and nose diving under braking. I hate that the most.
I don't want to spend more cash than I have to- I have a rather long list of mods. I haven't decided on the size wheel yet, but leaning towards a 18" diameter, so I can keep some sidewall with the 33's. Width will be either 9" or 10". Thinking 10" may look better, but I don't want the tire sticking out real far. I need the level/lift to allow me to clear the tires without rubbing. I don't like cutting/trimming stuff.
If you use the Bilstein or Icon kits, are you required to buy new UCA's? Are there any ill-effects if you don't use them? I want to be able to align it back to OEM specs with no trouble. Of those of you who are using any of these kits, can you comment on any of these issues mentioned here? One issue I have with the BDS kit, is having to cut a portion of the frame. Will this not allow the truck to be returned to stock?
I've thrown a lot of questions out here, but I've researched this topic so much, I don't really know which way to go. I don't want a ton of fender/tire clearance, but at least 3" over stock. Please post pics of your trucks with 33's with 18's and 20's, and note what you are running. I need to research what width and offset wheel I want to run.

Level is all you need. You said you don't want to spend more than you have to. https://www.f150forum.com/f38/lets-s...-f150s-153547/

Several other pages for your research.
No a 35 can not fit under the truck. Assume you meant 33 but idk if that will fit either.

To keep your cost down I would stay with a 2" or 2.5" spacer kit, and you will easily clear 33x12.50 or even a 295/70r18 which is 34"x11.50. A 18x10 wheel will kick your tires out from the fender probably around 2 to 3" depending on offset. I would personally stick with a 18x9 to minimize rubbing and to keep the tires slightly out of the fenders without being too wide.

Front lower control arms have been changed on the 14. The 13 shocks won't mount on the 14 lower arm. There's a thread elsewhere with pictures. You'd have to swap the lower arm to a 13 unit.

Reason I was entertaining a lift, was to make sure and clear the tires fine, due to the wheel offset. I won't be using OEM wheels with it.

A lift kit is almost cheaper than some of these "leveling" kits. Anyone here running any of the kits I mentioned in my first post? Curious about the Fox 2.5 coilovers too.

With a 6.2L you will not even see the 33's
