Leveling Thoughts

I put on a 2" AS and had I not installed the RAS in the rear it would sit nose high. I didn't measure but I think the RAS raised the rear about 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch and I am dead level now. I would like about to have about 1/2 " of rake for when I tow or load up the bed. Haven't had the chance to do either since the level and RAS.

It's weird how the amount of rake can vary so much from one truck to another. Mine had 2.5" of rake when it was stock. My 2" leveling kit left .5" of rake. I like a little bit of rake but 2.5" was much too much.

It is strange. I have 1.5" of rake on my FX4. I will have to do both front and rear on mine. And BTW, your truck is awesome with the 20's and bigger tires.

I know!! The thing is that it varied when the gas tank was full or almost empty so I just added the 2 inch front and have a raptor block set waiting for the rear

All great comments! The springs settling is something I hadn't thought about. I think I am gonna do the level and tires together. As soon as I find the right tires, I'm will start the project. Got my new exhaust on today...now for the level.

I have a 2012 xlt, looking to do a 2 in. level on it. Is there a need for alignment cams? Have heard no from a couple people, but have read other things saying yes. Still in there air over brand. Looking at Daystar, Rough Country, or Helll Bent Steel. Any suggestions or help? Used to working with Jeeps and trail rigs where ride comfort doesn't matter, this is my first "new truck" want to do things right.

Mine is a 10' and I have a 2" HBS level with factory 20's and 275/55/20 tires. The rake is very minimal now. I just now am getting tires but only went with 275/60/20 due to not wanting a much heavier tire and cost. I've had the level on for almost 2 years with this setup and I think it looks just fine. A lot of ppl with say it looks horrible.
