Default Whatever happened to the Lincoln F150?

Whatever happened to the Lincoln version of the F150? Did they just quit making them? I have'nt seen many out there.

Yeah, the last year for them was 2008 here in the states but the ones that were 2009's were only sold in Mexico.

They started calling them "platinum". Still out there, just re-labeled to be kept under the Ford title.

Edit: by "still out there" i meant the overall product (features that defined what made it what it was) still being produced.

I actually have a platinum on order, and there are admittedly some similarities. Esp the silver tailgate accent etc. But, the Lincoln seemed to have much different grill options. It really looked unique. Don't know if I would like one or not, but I just wondered why they vanished.

^ Not really... they quit making them in Mexico after 2009. That said, it was a new body style truck with a Lincoln grille. Looked kinda sick.

I'd be pulling that grille off almost immediately and slapping a Lobo (if bought in Mexico)/F-150 grille on it if one of those ever came into my possession. I have seen pictures of the LT in Mexico on and off, and it looks good, except for the front which just looks horrid.
