Default Leveling kit tires

Hats the biggest tire any of y'all have fit on your 2010 with a level kit. I know 35s will fit but was told they'll rub. Are 34s ok?

I have a 2010 XL 4x4, 2.5" AS level kit, with 287/75/18" Toyo A/T's= almost 35" tires. No rubbing or issues whatsoever.

Must be nice lol I had 34's on there and they rubbed. Don't need the tires close to that big wiring harness on the left side...

Are you sure they're almost 35s because a 295 on 18s is 33 inches and I thought that was standard tire sizing relative to wheel size

Being a 75 series makes them taller.

I chose to go with the XL model, because it does'nt have all the bells and whistles, so it's easier to mod. If you all look at pg.5 or so on the tire fitment thread, you will find lots of great info. and pix of what we are discussing right now. This thread is so popular and so many pages. But if you start at the beginning and read about the first 10 pgs. or so, you will come away with a much better sense of what will and won't work. NorCal09 has really done a great job explaining this, as well as many others. It boils down to what type of look, type of driving, and how much you can afford to spend.

My dad has a 2010 fx4 with a level kit and 285/75/18's on the stock wheels with no rub issues and I have a 2011 with a level kit and 315/70/17's with no rub issues. I work with tires and both are considered 35's actually the same or slightly bigger than a standard 35

Stock wheel's or ones close to stock specs are your best bet to run 35's on a leveled 4x4. Wider aftermarket wheel's with different backspacing is usually what causes the rubbing. I ran 315x70x17 BFG's on my '04 with no rubbing for a few year's with the correct spec aftermarket wheel's.

If you don't mind my asking, what were you're wheel specs when running those 315/70/17? Also what size levelling kit were you running PawPaw? Thanks in advance
