Lookin to level up my 2012 xlt screw and was wondering what kind of reduction in fuel mpg and what tire size 33 or 35 and would an exhaust system help with retaining my mpg I'm averaging 17.2 bone stock

2WD or 4WD ??? the reduction in MPG would be from the tires...not a level

On my '13 FX4 Ecoboost, I installed a 1.25" AustoSpring level (which resulted in nearly 2" of front end lift....still don't understand that one). That much lift decreased my gas mileage 3mpg. Same tires, same commute, same speed.

I recently bought a 5 Star economy custom tune and have only gained 1mpg of that back over the same commute and speed.

If I was that concerned with losing 2 or 3 mpg then I wouldn't have leveled the truck. But I don't have that big of an issue with it. I've gained nearly 2" of front end clearance for off-road driving up in the mountains.

It's a 4wd and tire wise I'd like to go bigger more clearance I work on a surface mine

Another thing I was looking at a BDS 2.5 inch kit would I need a 3 inch block for the rear or would I just need a 2 inch kit with a 2.5 inch block for the rear??

How about a 2 inch level with some 34 inch tires...tires that are real heavy will really bring down your fuel mileage.

I lost about 2mpg overall avg and thats with a regear from 3.55 to 4.10 and 33" tires. Highway cruising it still does pretty good, 18-20, its getting rolling in the city that just straight up kills my mpg.

My 2011 is not leveled...therefore it rides a tad higher in the back when unloaded. However, when I have a decent load in the back it sits pretty darned level. I have a decent load in the back fairly often.

I like the look of a leveled truck. But, I hate the look of a bed low truck.

Does your leveled truck ride low in the back if you have it loaded?

Or, do most of you that level the thing out not really put anything back there...or at least not very often?

If I'm not mistaken they are designed that way that with a heavy load of towing the back suspension has that extra height for that reason I've leveled my old Chevy but like my new ford it was a super crew with a 4.5 foot bed don't do too much heavy hauling but did tow quite a bit never really had any real bad sag or squaring issues out of the rear I'm doing the level on this truck mainly for clearance and looks more style over substance I guess. The only reason I've started this thread is because I've never owned a ford and with my old truck my tire size choices after leveling were next to none outside of the stock size but each company who makes a kit gives me a diff tire size recommendation and I was really just wanting to pull a census from everyone here who have done it
