I'd just pay the 300. They have to do an alignment as well, and most dealers are far less particular about warranty on a mod if you throw them a bone and pay them to install. It's money we'll spent. Those kits can be a real PITA if you don't have the right tools.

They'll likely quote you an hour a side- so it depends in the shop rate.

A spring compressor makes the job a lot easier, I bought one off eBay for $80 years ago, you'll also need a 27mm and 30mm socket or wrench, I had to buy both to install mine which was $24 at Auto Zone. Its an easy job to do on your own, 6-7 bolts on each side, but if a guy has to buy all the stuff to do it and make it easy might as well pay to have it done, especially if it includes the alignment. I don't do a ton of wrenching and will probably never have use for either of those sockets again.

I bought the 2.5 inch for my 09 and I recently have a gimped knee.....it's in the shop right now getting put on. Between the crappy weather and having to get a spring compressor...whatever I pick it up at 5.

If you don't have the tools and/or you don't feel COMPLETELY comfortable doing it, pay to have it done by someone who does. I have a shop, all the tools, and a brother who can do that type of thing. We installed a front/rear leveling kit on my last truck (Toyota Tundra), and it turned out to be a complete PITA. I would have GLADLY paid someone $300 to do it, by the end of the day (took us about 5 hours - we ended up having to rent a shock decompressor or whatever it's called). I just bought a leveling kit from Hell Bent Steal, for my new F-150 ($90 shipped), and it looks MUCH easier. We will be putting this one on ourselves.

Just an option (that I didn't know about until last week), Bilstein 5100 shocks. The fronts are adjustable up to 2" in 1/2" increments (rears: -0-"). So you get awesome new shocks and the front-end leveling that we want for about $350 + alignment if you install yourself.

I bought mine from Mobile Living in Concord, CA.

Just sayin'...

Check with your dealer I paid 350.00 for them to do it. It was only 50 bucks more than a local shop and it came with a 12 month 12000 mile warranty. Well worth 50 imho

thanks for the input guys I guess I didnt ask the shop if that included alignment but if it did $300 is sounding like a good deal. if not I can buy it for $96 bust a few knuckles and pay $60 for an alignment and save a few bucks.
