I have a 2.5 level on my BDS kit and won't go any higher. The bilsteins will not work be secure they are meant for a top hat style. The BDS kit uses a longer strut. Also I would add no more than 1 inch because you need allot of suspension travel going down oil roads. More than that your ride will suffer with suspension travel. Usually takes 2 Weeks for suspension to fully settle once kit had been installed

As mentioned earlier in the thread, I have the Bilsteins, set at 1.5", but with a 6" RCX Lift. They won't work with the bds kit because of the longer strut. My RCX lift uses the factory strut with a spacer, so I just replaced the factory strut. But since the bds uses a longer strut, and not a spacer, you can add a leveling spacer on top. There are plenty of guys on here that have done it with no issues. Just add an AAL or lift shackles to the rear, and you got an 8" lift! Good luck with it!
