Leveling issue??? May have problem with Ford?

Okay guys.... I installed a leveling kit myself and had an alignment done at the dealership I always go to.
About 2-3 months later, my power steering pump takes a crap. Coincidence?..... I thought so, so I take it to ford under warranty. They gave me a slight hard time with wanting to fix it under warranty due to the level kit. I stated my argument.... the service rep said " We will fix it this time, but if it goes out again in the next few months..... probably wont be covered" He did state however that if I took off the level.... it may be a different story.
Well wouldn't you know.... 2-3 months later (now) its taking a crap on me again!
Has anyone with a leveled truck had this problem??
Heard of this problem????
Thinking of taking it to a different dealer before I remove the level.... I don't know. No power steering does suck when parking.
Thank you guys in advance!!!

Thank you professor, but I think you are a little lost. Ford has to prove your mod caused the part to fail.

I don't really care either way..I hope he gets it fixed. What's he going to do if the dealer refuses his warranty work, though? Is he going to take them to court? I don't think so.
I just think it's crazy when people complain about warranty denials after modifications. That's like complaining about getting a speeding ticket.
Whether or not the level kit had anything to do with his issue, to me, is irrelevant. In a just world, sure, they would need to prove the modifications caused the failure. However, as we know, modding just gives dealers more ways to screw you.
"Level kit alters OEM steering and suspension geometries." That's all they need to say, isn't it?
The corporate VIN note happened to me with another maker. I had a great dealer who looked the other way on a lot of issues and didn't report my modifications (like an aftermarket turbo, effectively adding 120awhp). When I was in a different part of the country for work and had to get serviced, the dealer made a note to corporate. When I moved home, the 'cool' dealer had his hands tied and couldn't do anything for me anymore. Sucks, but I did it to myself.

I never really liked Masano. You might want to take a ride to New Holland Ford. They seem pretty decent. Good luck either way.

U should also learn to read before u speak
U were given two eyes and to ears for a reason
Look learn listen twice as much as u talk
Ud get more respect and not look like a douche
To the op again it's all case by case
I'd go to another dealer play dumb and go from there
Good luck

I do not have a dof in this fight... But unless you want to lawyer up and sue...you did modify parts that might be in question. So they seem to be well within the denial range. All they have to do is say no. No matter what everyone wants to say about "prove it". An then you are on the hook for the legal battle. So best bet is try somewhere else but do not get your hopes up. And be honest about the mods. Or brother karma will get you sooner or later.

People like geologyrocks shouldn't even contribute there nonsense to the forums. Such a waste of a post. It's like saying "well I got my lab results back guys. It looks like I might have cancer and not sure if I can beat it can you help?" Then geology would chime in... "Just die you did it to yourself by what you ate your whole life. No point in trying to fix it." That might have been on the extreme side but same concept IMO.
Edit: oh and I forgot. My dealer sells "modified" brand new F150's off the lot leveled with spacers and other goodies so maybe you need to find the right dealer to go back to.

The fact the power steering has taken a dump twice is 6 months since the leveling kit was put on, and did not do so before, seems pretty cut and dry that the install has been done incorrectly. Why try and hook the dealer for warranty work in that case?

Yeah, but the dealer modified it - not some random guy who may not have known what they are doing - and from what I have seen from guys with similar trucks is the dealer they bought it from is the one that services. They have caught flack from other dealers for the mods.

dealer modding cars/trucks also technically voids coverage... all case by case basis ... just cause a dealrer does the work does not mean/make it right .. or more or less under coverage...
leveling a truck by 2 inches should have nothing to do with a PS pump..
so changing my muffler to a non FOMOCO muffler (which is rebranded walker btw) should void coverage too ..
or non FMC brake pads... too
come one ... grow up and add something USEFUL not dumb banter that shows your ignorance
