How about you take off the lower valance in your truck, and see if your MPG takes a dive?Removing this piece without leveling it would be about the same aerodynamic if you leveled it and didn't put big tires with the valance still on. At least then you'd be able to determine if JUST a level will decrease your mileage. IMO, it's worth a shot?!

That's exactly what I was thinking, but didn't have the energy to type. If it didn't make a difference, I don't think ford would've put that stupid thing down there in the first place.

The stupid thing is down there to keep water out of the engine compartment along with other things. Take it off and go for a drive in the rain or down a muddy road...then tell me what you find under the hood.

Hes talking about the removable wind deflector under the truck...its for wind.

Its called a Valance...and if it deflects air ...what does it deflect when the air is wet with rain ??

My buddies Raptor doesnt have one and it doesnt get trashed under the hood.

Thats because Raptors have a full skid pan and enclosure.
