leveled MPG
So I am getting much less than expected fuel mileage after leveling. I am running 2.5" RC spacers with 275/70/18s on factory wheels. I'm seeing anywhere from 12.3-13 mpg mixed driving. I expected a bit of a drop bit I can't believe that.
My rear end is 3.73 that is my first red flag, would regearing help much? 2010 5.4l screw w/ 6.5' box btw.
Also has anyone seen any other significant gains from things like an intake? Any little things I can do to help negate this?

I have 295 70 18's on factory wheels and did not adjust speedo but dash is reading 13.7mpg. I added an airaid cai and only notice some gain in higher rpm, nothing down low where I wanted. I am seriously considering a 5 star 87 tune.
Both of you all should not be paying attention to dash read outs because they are off. You're gonna have to manually calculate MPG.

But to answer the original question, would regearing be a viable option?
A custom tune and speedometer re-calibration would probably help more.

I wasn't implying that recalibrating the speedometer would improve MPGs, but it will make your MPG readings on the dash more accurate. The custom tunes may improve your MPGs, it does for a lot of people. With the tuner you can also re-calibrate the speedometer.
Okay that makes sense. What is the popular choices for tuners here? I used to run a H&S Mini Max in my f250, that was a bit pricey though, and really for different needs on a diesel. Is there maybe a smaller company most people on the forum order though?
