Yup, nice and tight. I have husky mud flaps which helped a little with the mud.

Thanks for all the pics and replies guys!! I'm torn now between the NFABs and Go Rhino D2. I have a SCAB so also unsure if I want cab length step bars or a more finished look of a set of wheel to wheel bars. What your thoughts? I don't want the third step for the bed but thought wheel to wheel without a third step may look good.

Has anyone had rust issues with NFAB or Go Rhino bars?

Yes on the Nfabs. Had them about a year or so and the powder coating was flaking and they started rusting. Not sure but they aren't capped so I'm sure crap was getting inside rusting then from inside out.

They scuff easily where you step so they dull easily (gloss black powder coat) and the steps are barely usable as they are too small, too far under rocker, and at odd places under the door. If you have tiny feet they are ok but with boots they suck. Getting not so bad but forget using them getting out as they are placed weird and have to twist foot and knee in awkward position to get step with toes. I just started using my heel instead but that got old.

Ditched then for Amps. I know they are 3X the cost but they also have 3X the function, looks and durability! Worth saving up for them!

Here is a pic of the wheel to wheel n-fab bars. I have no issue with them being slippery or finding them with my foot. I can't comment about rusting yet, as I have only had them for one winter.

Thanks for the pic! They look great on the SCAB!! I hear they are not capped on the ends of the tube? Any issues with water it have you drilled a hole on the bottom of the step hoops, as some suggest, to drain water? I may be better off with Go Rhinos. Funny they don't cap the ends....

Yeah I'm not real happy about the ends being open.

No I haven't drilled holes in the bottom as I was concerned that they may use this to void any warranty. After the warranty is over I probably will.

I'm not sure how big the openings are, but perhaps an over sized rubber grommet such as this would fit?

Thanks!! Are all NFAB step bars open ended? Hard to believe they'd design such a product and not have closed ends, so water doesn't collect.
