Which cam is it? Is the video on an SD card?

It might help to know in what format (MP3, MP4, AVI, MOV, etc) your device records. The file format may make it easier to search for that type file extension.

Didn't even think to post that. This is from Transcend's site H.264 (MOV: up to 1920x1080 30fps)

Something I noticed right away is the temps it does ok in. Only up to 149 or 160. If it's 100 degrees outside, it's closer to 175 in your car.

If you can find out what lens it uses that will be a good place to start on the quality of the video, from there it's how well the software runs that lens.

Looks like a nice camera. Kinda wish mine had an app to watch/download videos.

Anybody have any experience with any dash cams like this one? Looking for something that looks as OEM as possible. This particular one has no feedback yet on Amazon, so id be open to other suggestions.

I do like how this one wraps around the mirror bracket. I would also use a black 3m vinyl cut to size placed on the windshield before mounting the dash cam so you wont see the two sided tape that holds it on.

i guess you can be the guinea pig on it. I believe the red you see is the backing to the adhesive - mine came the same way with 3M adhesive - it's clear and stick well. it's been +100* all week here (inside the truck a ton hotter) and have had no issues with the Anker Roav or the adhesive. I actually unplugged it for a minute to check a feature and holy crap it was hot. i seriously felt like i burned my hand and still worked without a hitch. mine is also small enough to hide behind the read view mirror so no issues with it. outside you can't tell anything is there unless you really look for it. my wife didn't even know i installed anything.
