Well I only paid $400 for mine and no taxes so really, I can't complain. I hate to thread jack but what do you think about the extang encore? Seems like a much better version of the solid fold.

i have only seen them never use one but looks like a good top for the money .

I have a TruXedo TruXport Roll-Up Tonneau Cover. It was about $320 with free shipping. So far so good. You cannot release the cover unless the tailgate is down (nice with the tailgate locked) and it's fairly low profile.

Thats what I have, and I really like it other than it hard to keep clean in dirty environment.

Get a Lorado Soft roll tonneau cover. I was in the same boat as you on trying to find a cover and I'm telling you, I LOVE my new cover! looks sleek, very easy to operate. Check em out.
