I plasti-dipped the whole oval emblem/camera housing. I then had Moody Blue cut just the Ford lettering and outline in gloss black vinyl and we carefully applied it on top of the raised letters and outline, I'm very satisfied with the results and achieved the look of a whole custom emblem for a fraction of the price!

Are you kidding me? I have been holding off on the overlay so I would have to take off the dip. Didn't think it would hold well.

Moody, I'll be placing an order soon.

Thanks Murderisthegame! Guess I need to look at using Plastic-Dip now. I wonder how that would hold up to the salt and snow we get in the Midwest?

We plastidipped the wheels on my brothers new camaro a month ago, which also includes his lug nuts. Yesterday he had to have to wheel removed to inspect for leaks. I was watching the technician go at those plastidipped lugnuts with his air impact wrench thinking that the plastidipped lugnuts are going to be destroyed! i kid u not, only one of them had a lil tear in the corner the size of a grain of rice. Plastidip is tough! just take care of it and dont let contaminats sit on it for too long

I just plasti dipped my emblems last week, washed the truck today. Seems like they are holding out pretty good. not going to lie...I was scared as to what was going to happen.

I did do some homework yesterday in front of the house - let me know what you guys think of the bumpers:

I've taken the truck thru a high-pressure car wash and it seems to have held up pretty well... time will tell i guess...

cheers,
