Those Open Country's look real nice, though... haha If I had extra money, I'd buy a set of wheels and tires for when I go and get REALLY muddy, and have my street/show wheels on otherwise.

I'll probably go with the Toyo's. They actually wear real well and I think I'd regret not getting a M/T like that over a less aggressive looking tire just because of the lettering. I went by the shop today and they run the Toyo's on 90% of their trucks and rigs for a reason...

My personal preference is Nitto, but they tend to wear out pretty quickly...

I'm sure they wear better bc they are an A/T, but you would be surprised how well the toyos wear. 50-60k mikes if rotated and maintained properly. So I wouldn't say they wear WAY better.

... and my question to everyone is this: Are the Toyos or Nittos loud? I do a fair amount of highway driving, and the drone from the stock tires on a GMC Sierra All-Terrain drove me nuts after a few minutes.

I would probably stay away from them then, I have Nitto trails and they are not bad at all, but definitely louder than an A/T like the BF Ko's. If stock tires were too loud then you would probably hate a mud or trail tire.

Every truck I have ever heard with nittos was loud. You could always tell who was running them before you saw them. As for the toyos, they make noise. But IMO not much at all for a mud tire. But then again, my exhaust and radio both drown them out. I'm sure the toyo A/ T makes less noise.
