I would go this route if I were to do it again. That way you can truly customize while not paying for things your just going to take off! Look forward to seeing what you do... I am in the same boat, all it takes is money which I dont exactly have! haha

Not a problem, Gibby. Muddy boots would have been the least of the worries. Apparently Ford does a bunch of mods to the vehicles that go in the shows, like disable horns, certain adjustments, etc and it took a while for the dealer to figure all that stuff out and to get it all corrected. I'm loving the truck but am experiencing some issues with the eco-boost motor and/or software in the truck. Hoping to get it cleared up soon. For now, I am driving my 2000 F-150 (with 190K miles) while the new one is back at the dealer.

Hey magblue,

Thanks for the kind words.

Been trying to get this reply through from you question. Seems your inbox is full and would not accept a message on Saturday or Sunday. My tires were out about 1" at the top of the fender. I chose the Extend-A-Fender flares over the rivet design for the extra coverage (every1/4 " helps) , and they have more of a factory appearance than the rivet flares. When painted to match, these E-A-Flares have great function, and are pretty easy on the eyes. I'm also looking at adding either Harley logo flat mud flaps, or just found out about Husky brand molded style flaps. Hope this helps you.

Kutch,
Thanks....Ford blacked everything out to dress it up for the auto show. The only piece of chrome on it is the 8 " tailpipe extension. At first I was thinking about changing out the rims to some chrome but after about a week, these kinda grew on me and by now, I actually like them a lot. I have had a few comments on the rims and have had several comments on the red F-150 badge, as well.
Nice bike. What do you ride?

Lacrosse....nice truck! Just like mine, except you have the full super crew. What engine is in it? Also liking the black stripe. I almost didn't even notice mine when I was buying the truck. It does cause some double takes when people are looking at it.
If you have the eco boost, have you been having any issues with the performance. Mine is a '12 and am having some software issues with the truck. I just heard from the dealership about an hour ago and they said there has been SEVERAL software updates for the SYNC system.

I like it, Harleyman. You took an idea and made it your own. They don't make a Harley Davidson edition in a regular cab, so you gave us a glimpse into "what if they had". Your truck is more than just having slapped "Harley Davidson" on the fenders. It's tastefully done.
