I just came back from my first road trip in the F-150 and loved it. The whole family loved it. Coincidentally, I got to try out a Tesla on this trip and it's fast.

Deleted the pictures and changed the title of the thread for you. Sometimes I forget there's a hater in every forum, because we don't have a lot of them here. I thought Canadians were supposed to be nice

Having a sleek, understated sedan that will dust a Lamborghini from a light without making a sound is much more badass to me than any modern muscle car. Muscle cars have turned into nothing more than nostalgic renditions of classic muscle cars, when they actually had muscle, not just horsepower smothered by size, weight and driver assistance.

Not having to pay for fuel is a bonus too. Also not having to deal with the dealership process is also nice, you can buy a tesla in front of your computer in your nightgown if you wanted to.

I've found myself questioning this lately as well, because of members on this forum. oh well, stereotypes are a great time saver.

super jealous of the Tesla, but I totally agree that I've never road-tripped in a more comfortable vehicle than my 2010 King Ranch. I drove from Madison, WI to Missoula, MT 6 times round-trip in 2012, 1,475 miles each way or about 24 hours. I was unbearably bored but never cramped or uncomfortable. unfortunately I haven't gotten to go on any adventures in my 2014 KR yet.

I know the telescoping column was a god send for me.
I went from okay comfortable, to...I don't want the trip to end.

I've never seen a Tesla I live in the boonies! Sorry I hurt some feelings. I wasn't hating. Just offering a difference of opinion. Don't want to get me started on LR. I'm sure it's quite capable and comfy too but looks like the Volvo station wagon of the SUV world.... . IMO! That makes it okay.

Oh and Canucks are just as effed up as everyone else in the world. We may be polite in person. But people still kill up here that's why our jails are full too.

We just completed a 3,000+ mile roundtrip to Florida, great ride. 70 mph most of the time, mpg in the 18s was a little disappointing but perfect time for low gas prices.

I have to agree the f150 is a perfect road trip vehicle. Extremely comfortable. Me and the wife took mine 12,000 Kms across Canada in 3 weeks. And slept in the box the whole way! Love my truck.

That's a road trip wow! I tried convincing my wife to do this for our annual anniversary trip. I got shot in the foot. Instead of free I have to spend $100 a night for B&B's.

$100 a night? That's it?
B&B around here will cost you about $250 a night for a low end stay.

Back to the subject though. Road tripping in the F150 is by far the better idea in many cases. My folks have begun to look at me to drive for Holidays instead of taking my mother's Lexus RX...it's just that comfy.
