Have a aftermarket Kenwood unit and the left channel goes in/out also... Anyone else replace the speakers and found it fixed the problem?

Is your Kenwood using factory wiring harnesses or did you run all new wires?

Factory harness
All my connections are soldered to the adapter that plugs into the factory harness, so that's not the problem

I've got a 2011 XLT screw and mine has been doing the same thing for the past couple of months. Like everyone else, I have'nt gone to the dealer yet with the problem being so intermittent. If there is in fact a TSB for it they should know about the problem so a quick trip in might be worth the time.

I had this problem and it drove me crazy. Turning the volume way up and then back down to normal would fix it temporarily. I worked with my dealer and they got it fixed:

I have to believe that even if the wiring harness is soldered, something was loose. That, or the speaker leads were loose and got tightened up in process of replacing the harness. Either way, after the new harness the problem has not reappeared.

Same problem here. '11 XLT. Brought it in and they used the ole "could not replicate" excuse. Now it does it nearly every day. I have 2 other intermittent problems they refuse to fix also. Makes me made because I arranged to leave it with them for a week for nothing.

I know right. for me even when they do find the problem they tell me its normal. Shaking at idle and a transmission that clunks isn't normal

mine does the same thing, left front speaker sounds like it is blowed. Has been doing it since I got the truck. It seems to just depend on what week it wants to work and the next week it screws up. I havent called the dealer yet because the same reason you all haven't. What can we do about this? if anything, besides hope that it screws up at the dealership when they test it?
