You could look at my profile to see pics. I've had both the XQ and xl IMO the XQ looks better. The whole window cranks out but at an angle so the back is really the only open part. It doesn't look funny open. Make sure you get front slider even if your truck doesn't have one cuz it makes for better ventilation for the dog. If you go with the xl 100 my advice is look at the century royal it is made by leer. I had one on my 2009 250 and it was identical in fit and finish as well. It's about 300 less expensive. Good luck. I could email pics but don't really know how to put them up here

Let me know if the above replies don't get you the info that you need. I have been a Leer dealer for almost 10 years now. I'll get you whatever you need to help you make a better decision.

I have a friend with the XQ topper and it has a great fit with very clean lines where it meets the bed. One of the coolest features was seeing only the bottom rear corner of the side windows open for ventilation. What's so cool for your use is knowing the window keeps virtually all rain out even when open so you can feel comfortable about your pups still having good ventilation even when it rains

Yes. Both caps are designed to go after the same market from each manufacturer. He was correct in saying they are both owned by the same company. TAG owns both companies along with one other fiberglass manufacturer. They all have their own manufacturing plant though.
Our delivery truck often has Century caps on it when we unload. Unfortunately I never pay close enough attention to them to make a fair assessment of the product line. I do think they are a quality product though.
TAG markets Leer as their premium line, Century as their mid level line, and another name that escapes me as their cheaper line.
Hope this helps....
