Which LED taillights?
I would like some recommendations for LED taillights. I would like the resistors built-in so they don't fast flash or throw an error and I am looking for a smoke or smoked red colored lens. I would also like ones that are nice and bright and can be seen from all angles as people around here drive like crap. I checked out Recon but a lot of the reviews are saying that they don't fit well and that the resistors wear out in a year or so.

Stay away from Recon. I have head and tail lights and both are junk. They tend to be twice the price of comparable lights like Spyder but not worth the price. My taillight connectors rotted off and I had to rewire. All fog inside even when it's not raining. Oh, and the smoke finish on the headlights, inside, flaked off. For the price you can buy the cheaper ones and replace them in a couple years and still be ahead of the game.

An option might be to keep the existing lenses, replace the bulbs with LED's and use Forscan to turn off the burned out bulb detection. This way you keep all the factory weather pack connectors, no resistors needed, and the flash frequency is the same rate as the original OEM.

I found a guy giving some away for free on Craigslist. I just had to pick them up. They are dark smoked. They are sold under many names, but I think it’s Anko or Spec D. They are Chinese but decent quality. Not a ton of light from the side. In fact it’s just reflectors on the side. But for the price I couldn’t complain. One of the supplied resistors died after a couple months. I just used forscan and turned off the bulb out for front and back.

Stock Tails, take your pick Chrome or Smoked (FX/Raptor Tails) and Sylvania ZEVO Red LED3157 rear and Amber LED3157 Front. Brighter than Stock on both Running and Stop/Turn and use Forscan to turn off the Bulb Out.

I was happy with these for the price. These were on my 2013. I have ANZO headlights on my 2016. The ANZOs seem to be a little better quality than Spyder.
