Default LED Running Board Puddle Lights

So after a little research into puddle lights and wanting adequate light around my running boards, I finally grabbed some of my high power SMD LED's and went to work....with 4 of them to be exact. I just finished earlier tonight, and here are the results, or at least some teaser pictures. These are wired into the the factory puddle lamp relay, which our trucks do have, even if you do not have puddle lamps. They dim up/down with the dome lights, and by far the best mod to my truck yet, even at a whopping $15 in cost for materials. Let me know what you think, and I would be more than happy to do a how-to as well.

These were taken with my cell so they are a bit hard to see, but I will have better pictures later. The second picture you can see the reflection in the ground of the LEDS.

nice!

I've been thinking about doing something similar, but I'd have to come up with a way to mount them a little different because I don't have running boards

and I'm not about to drill into my rockers, lol

Actually no drilling required at all! Those SMD LEDs have adhesive on the bottom side, so they are not drilled into the running board. They can be placed anywhere, so not a problem putting them on the rocker panels!

Here is another view, but with added silicone around it, just in case, even though it's weatherproof.

I'm trying to figure out where that shot is. If I'm right I'd change the wire route personally.

If this relay you speak of is under the hood I know how I'll route mine. Can you shed some "light" on the relay you speak of? .
