I'll shutterbug a photo for the forum if they are better than stock.
Wow, these seem to have a very focused light beam (like a spotlight). Although brighter, does the narrow light path reduce peripheral visibility at night?

Due to the design of the reverse bulb area of the F150 tail light you are only get to see limited improvement over the stock bulbs no matter what bulbs you use. No bulb I've found will give you both, good peripheral light and good light behind the truck. This bulb in my opinion is the best that I have found for lighting up behind the truck. Someone else may have found a great bulb that will do both and if they have and post the info I will buy it.

Ok, I received mine in the mail. I don't see anything on them that says CREE but I see plenty of Chinese writing on the packaging. ??

I tell ya what though - they sure seem bright. Tonight I can better tell if how much they really help.

One thing I notice thought is that the light is pretty much directed straight back, not much comes out to the side.

I think I will like em but have to wait until tonight to verify.

3 pics. The 1st one shows the LED on left compared to the standard bulb on right. 2nd & 3rd pics show close up of new LED and old standard.

I just went ahead and put some HIDs in my reverse light spot and absolutely love the light output.

Those pictures were taken inside my shop with all doors closed, and it completely lit up that part of the shop. With my reverse camera it helps out immensely with backing up. Its a little bit more work, but well worth it

Those put out some great light, I used some strait facing leds that were better, but they only lit up strait behind me. Then I changed them out for some tower led's that would reflect off the bulb housing, those were much better than the others, but not as bright as yours. Is the hid kit for taillights or is it totally a custom type install? What brand are they?

I have gotten the feeling that Ford did not put these lights there for us to see when we are backing up, but for other drivers to see when we are backing up.

As promised here is video of the Cree 7W 921 reverse bulbs in my 2011 F150 I got from Bravo Racing through eBay. They don't work, but watch the video and see for yourself.

What kit did you use and are you concerned about heat melting the taillight housing or do they run cool enough?
