Im getting a tailgate lightbar soon and Wanto hard wire it instead of plugging it into the 4 pin connector. If I hard wire it do I have to solder it or do something else.

 

I hardwired mine. Seeing that the electrical connections will be in a place prone to water, stones, and other damage, I would solder. AND, rubber tape, silicone seal, and electrical tape the connections. (I did).

If you are getting one with the white reverse LEDs, unless you have the 7 pin connector, you will have to run a wire to the reverse lights. Mine had a longer white wire just for that, which I shortened as I used the 7-pin connector wire (center).

How did you silcone seal them? Also Do you think I should get a recon bar or a plasmaglow.

 

I meant to say I siliconed all connections that I made- soldered each, then dabbed silicone around the connection, waited a bit, then rubber taped and then electical taped the connection.

I liked the Recon, I guess its a price and availability choice.

 

i boughtg the 60" light bar with reverse light work for a minute now the brake function is dim and then all other functions go screwy going to replace it
