And either way end up taking them back out almost immediately. I thought LED's were different and better. MGD's and Res4cue's have shown me what a good headlight setup SHOULD look like. Thanks to both of you for saving another couple hundred dollars. however a Good setup is not in my budget in the foreseeable future so I will be sticking with halogen for the time being. They may not be what I want, but at least I know they function as they are supposed to and they aren't causing a hazard for oncoming traffic. on a side note, how do the knowledgeable folk feel about LED light bars? specifically a small 20" one in the bumper opening as an auxiliary for the dark back roads.

I saved for 6 months to have mine done. I went through all the same phases. The crazy thing is that mine can be even better with Osram bulbs!

I have a 20" for backroads and it's great! I got it off amazon for $65. It's an eyeyourlife brand.

The cutoff is there.

The cutoff is really pronounced when up against a wall or objects like my pics but down long roads it will "blend" in the distance like his does.

You can tell as there is no light high up in the trees, etc.

There is a standard to adjust even if lifted but his look fine, mine look similar down a road.

That is what the step in the cutoff is for. It's not a straight cutoff, it's drops a bit.

I'd go with FXRs, I went with Evox-Rs and although they are great the FXRs have better low beam performance vs Evox-Rs that have better hi beam performance.

If I did it again if go with the LS ones though! Lol

I can see the cutoff when the photos are back to back like that. I just wasn't seeing it in that setting. I think if I am gonna be positive he just needs to send me the lights and I will put them on my truck and let y'all know.

There's a lot more labor involved on the 460's but its well worth it, been running them for a couple years now.

LS460 (solenoid mod, high beam mod)

How much easier are the LS460-R's compared to the LS460's? I know the R's have a smaller solenoid, but does it make that much of a difference?

You can't fit them in the halogen lights without the solenoid mod. basically it chops off the huge stock solenoid mount and replaces it with the H1 solenoid internally mounted so the projector is more the size of an FXR or EvoX.

Is TRS still selling the "R" ? That just means they have done the solenoid mod and high beam mod already to them. We do it in house, there is a lot of work involved for the solenoid to be done right. TRS Andrew and I were actually the ones to develop that.
