Feels like a retrofit commercial.

I could see fine with the halogens, I can see marginally better (differently) with the LEDs, and I have HID projectors in my other vehicle and it's not worth writing home about.

Cult may have been too strong a word, but trolling within a thread about LEDs isn't. Take it for what it is. I'm envious that people can have retrofits (or make their own) but a this stage I can't. So if it makes you feel better, fly at it!

And wise decision. I'm in the same boat. It's out first so I have no idea what we are really in for financially.
I mean it's not so bad as long as the baby shower is good to you after about 5 months my little guy grew out of his car seat and boom 300$ for a new seat. I even told my wife damn there goes some parts for my truck lol

Give these a shot. I've got so many useless led light's in my toolbox it makes me sick at the money I've spent.
These tho, are worth every penny. Perfectly bright and they actually cast usable light.
Zero issues with seeing what's behind me now.

I just put a set of those in mine today and honestly wasn't that impressed. The light is very white, but didn't seem to be illuminating the ground behind my truck. Do they need to be flipped maybe? It looked like it wouldn't matter which way they went in.

I can't remember whether it mattered with these. I'm pretty sure it's either they work or they don't.
I'm surprised you didn't like them. Looking at camera is where I noticed how much brighter it seemed.

I may be judging prematurely. I just put them in and tested backing down my driveway. Couldn't really play too much because it was just too freaking cold out tonight. I'll see if flipping them makes a difference tomorrow.

I run the philips t10 bulbs in the cab and license plate and also bought 2 30mm for the puddle lights and a 40mm for the dome light
