With the numerous quality issues it has, I wouldn't go near one with 50k, let alone the $110k CAD list price it had. Isn't my vehicle to judge though..

those lights are made by trucklite, penske is putting em on most of their new rentals. i was running with a driver through the rockies and he was running em, they are bright and light up the ditches well but lacked alot of distance.

Might be worth trying out. Have you seen how crappy the stock bulbs are? Couldn't put in silverstars fast enough.

The bulb portion looks very similar to what I put in my fogs on my 11 g37 and my 13 f150.

Led projector on the end of the bulb, and 4 high power chips on the sides to fill the fog light housing with light.

They are SUPER bright. I do not exaggerate when I say they are blinding.

Still need to add resistors for these? Not a fan of the red hot resistors.

LED's generally lose distance, but are nice and bright up close. Good for brake/clearance/running lights where a focused beam isn't needed, but not the best idea for night vision purposes. Not sure I'd run them anywhere it snows though. Wet snow build up on headlights is not a good thing, unless they install some sort of shroud heat for 'em to melt the crud off. Not worth the cost in my opinion. Add a $20 pair of driving lights for better results.

In the words of a projector nut.. "LOOK AT THAT GLARE!"

Anyways... wasn't one the retrofitters working on an LED project?

That would true for a straight reflector headlight. Doesn't apply for a projector lens. A projector headlight has a parabolic lens which is the basis for how it gives you light for a distance.
