Default LED Headlight Opinions for those that have them

my stock lights SUCK! and i want to do something for more light but I DONT want to spend a gazzilion and do HIDS.....is LED is the answer for better light output. I prefer my plows Lights vs my regular headlights!!

looking for better light output with modest $$. I know but again I dont like HIDs and all the mods associated with them is not something I want to do right now.

Looking for how they actually did improve your needs.....

Thanks all.

some pics of the lighting output would also be nice. off to search the threads for answers too.!!

I installed a set of Opt7 LEDs (about $100 on Amazon) and they are definitely a lot better than stock. I also had Silverstars in which are also better.

Avoid the OPT7, especially in your 2009-2014 as they will scatter light all over. The H13's we sell are VERY popular and don't scatter light. A lot of forum members have them for their 2009-2014 and even more on the 2015+. We're expecting stock hopefully end of this week on the H13 bulbs.

Use coupon code F150FORUM for 10% off your order on our site. You won't be disappointed with the XHP Series LED Conversion Kits we sell on our site.

morimotos are only good if youre doing a retrofit. If youre just going to throw hid's in reflector housings youll blind everyone else on the road.

I have lifetime leds as well - two issues - The ones like mine that only have the leds on one side of bulb makes it difficult to get good light distribution out of stock housings - make sure leds on both sides - second - led light might be brighter and stronger close up - but they tend not to illuminate the same distance as a silverstar or HID.

I purchased a set of LED headlights from Recon, they took about 30 min to install. They are super white and super bright, I have had them in about 3 weeks now and no issues with them.
