Thanks everyone much appreciated....once all the parts come in I'll do a full write up.

I've been trying to find a way to do the cup holder rings from the OEM Ambient Lighting and came across these on ebay. I may try to integrate this into my setup

or something like this:

thatd be awesome. i like the imotorroom KIA Optima K5 LED Cup Holder Console Plate better then that $8 thing, it looks alot cleaner in the setup(no wires or anything) plus there a little more money haha, that usually means better quality. when you get it all set up you definately have to pm me some pics and how you done it haha.

AutoZone LED lights work awesome and are easy to work with, i wired my HD up with them and they stand up to water and weather when i ride. also did the Turn signal mod with white led from AutoZone, so Sometimes cheap is good if you know what your doing and how to lay it out to get the best light

Default Ambient Lighting.

I added the ambient lighting kit to my fx4 as well. Used all OEM parts so it looks factory.

The only part I haven't figured out yet if what wire to tap in to to get them to turn off when the rest of the truck lights turn off. Currently plugged into the 12v plug allows them to stay on until I turn them off at the remote.
Where can I get that same remote?

Did you use the cup holder from the platinum ? Or just the 2 led in the kit

How did you wire yours if I may ask? I got a full console from a 2011 platinum with all the ambient lighting included and am trying to figure out how to wire it into my 2009 FX4.

Would you mind sharing what part numbers you purchased, and where your purchased them from?
