If you've had 12 of them since 2000 you probably haven't had any of them very long. Usually they're good for the first 3 or 4 years but the rubber seals start breaking down after that and that's when the problems start.

Several of those vehicles I did own for only a few years. However, my 05 Buick doesn't leak (the Onstar antenna did awhile back but a little silicone fixed that), my Crown Vic never leaked and my Trailblazer doesn't leak. I also had a 2003 Taurus I sold last year that didn't leak (couldn't say the same for the Duratec V6!). My sister now owns my 03 Bonneville and it doesn't leak. My 78 Lincoln isn't included in that 12 count but it too is leak free. I think a big part of the reason why I've been lucky is that my vehicles are always stored inside. Cars that sit outside suffer in many ways, including rubber degradation.

Hi Crystal. I had an appointment set for next Monday but I actually just called this morning and cancelled it. I made some adjustments to the sunroof yesterday hoping to make it seal a little better. It was super easy to adjust the glass with the #20 torx screws. I want to see if that fixes my problem. I still need to make a dealer trip though for my navigation. I started getting error messages about 3 weeks ago that say it can't read the SD card. I've never removed the SD card so I'm not sure what's going on with that.
Thanks,
Steve

I'm just the person to help! Have you tried removing the SD card and reinserting it? The card could have readjusted itself while driving. It happens sometimes if you hit one of those lovely bumps in the road.
Let me know if that works. If not, we can move forward.

Back to the sunroof issue, I washed the truck tonight and made sure to run lots and lots of water over the sunroof. It did leak again but only the front right corner of the headliner was wet and nothing ran down and dripped off the A pillar grab handle. Right now the entire sunroof sits flush with the roof, I'm going to try adjusting it so the rubber trim sits slightly higher that the roof and see what happens. I have also wondered if maybe the Sirius antenna might be leaking???

Leaky F-n sunroof!!
On both my 05 and my 13, the sunroof sat exactly an 1/8 of an inch below the perimeter molding, at the front.
It's always seemed to low, but hasn't leaked inside the cab, even when the drains were partially blocked. I only know about the gutter being partially clogged, because it was just part of the the smelly evaporator protocol.
As much as I've been tempted to make it flush, neither leaked. So I've left them alone.

HI Shaay, The first time it gave me that error, I did remove the card (first time I've touched it) and reinserted. Made no difference. When I restarted the truck the next time, the error was gone. It has done it 2-3 times since but again clears after the truck is restarted.

When you get a chance, try a master reset to help with the SD card issue: http://owner.ford.com/sync-technolog...c-myford-touch Be sure to remove the card before starting the process. I also recommend checking your Owner account for software updates: www.Owner.Ford.com Log in and select the SYNC & HOW TOS tab then CHECK FOR SOFTWARE UPDATES.
