How's she goin' eh?
I didn’t know platinum trucks came with 5.0, I thought only eco’s and 6.2’s. Guess you learn something everyday.
what colours are they?

Double check that payload sticker, no way a steel body supercrew platinum has that high of a payload. Mine had the 7700gvwr and only 1345 payload capacity. The platinum adds extra weight with the power boards and other little bits which take away from payload. My 5.0 Lariat optioned the same but without nav and moonroof had 1480 payload.
That being said, I always wished my 5.0L were the 6.2L. Not much difference in mpg if you drive conservatively but big difference in power when pulling a trailer.

6.2 but I am biased

Tough choice. The 6.2 is nice and all, but the 2013 truck with factory hid's, platinum interior, 8" touch screen, rear heated seats, and power running boards are hard options to look past.
If the 2011 is at least 3-4k cheaper then the platinum, I would consider it. As I would spend around 2.5k to add amp steps, an hid retro fit, and nice touch screen. As I have had HID's, amps , and nice touch screen in the last 2 trucks and won't have one with out those options anymore, factory or not.
It would really come down to price and what truck was in better shape for me.

My lariat has the HIDs and the 8" screen. I like non-moving steps better, less to break, serves as a defense against door dings.
Rear heated seats? I never use my fronts, black interior takes care of that.

Rear heated seats came in lariat?!? My MIL would love that over my FX4 cold leather.

6.2 for sure! A lariat with a 6.2 is arguably rarer than even a platinum with a 6.2. Both are pretty uncommon.
If I had been able to find my truck with a 6.2 I wouldn't have skipped a beat! I'm biased but if the lariat has cream/tan seats I'd choose that over the platinum if the platinum has black leather. I still can't understand why people like black leather in cars...
Given the year models of those trucks, I don't think there were very many differences between vehicle features between the trims. Maybe the platinum has rear climate control or rear cooled seats? Sounds like a cool feature -- but if anyone turns on a seat cooler it really pulls power from the AC anyway.

only 2013/14 platinum and limited had the rear heated seat option in our body style.
