Default Lariat Limited #288 build thread.

**Updated pics on page 20**

Hey, picked up my truck last wed. I absolutely love it so far.Traded an 06 Lincoln Mark LT and although I miss her , my new truck is leaps and bounds better in every way. Only thing I wish was an option that i could think of is Xenon headlights. I don't understand why Ford hasn't made them an option. They have been around forever.
Anyway, I put the bed rails on already. I have Husky liner mats in the mail as well as a bedliner so the dog has some traction as well as loading the bike up etc. Also, ordered a shorty antenna as many of you have, and window visors so I can keep the windows cracked etc.
on top of that I ordered a Rockford threesixty.2 and Navtv with outputs for rear seat monitors. The sub will be an Alpine Type R 15" that I ordered and I will upgrade the factory speakers and amp them with an Alpine PDX 4 channel. The sub will be another 1000w PDX .
Also purchased HID kits for the head and foglights.

Anyway, the truck will probably go in the direction that not many of you will like , but I will love it and maybe a few of you will too.

So this is the beginning of my build thread. So far all I have done is put bed rails on so my dog doesn't scratch the crap outta my paint when he's in the back.

Next will be xenons then front 20% tint. Then stereo , then finally rims and power upgrades such as a tuner and maybe cai+ exhaust.

Here is my old truck.RIP.

Man I love it! Especially with the AWD in the snow .I still just take of like a bat outta hell. The truck, when not in manual, def needs a tuner. So I will wait and see what someone comes up with. I have been lurking on a few raptor forums as I was banned from here for telling the truth and trying to get a wager going, lol, and they seem to be ahead of the crowd as it pertains to the 6.2 L.

You where banned?? Oh.. well glad to see your back, nice truck, I might have choose a Limited, but wanted a different color.. my last truck was white.

I'm still waiting for my FX4 to make it to the dealership (its somewhere on a choo choo right now), in the mean time I ordered some AMP power steps and had them shipped to the dealer (they will be sitting there waiting for the truck as well)

Cheers!

Nice. I hear that AMP makes the stock ones. You will love em. Ya, I am the opposite of you, my last few trucks were black.I have had like 5 black vehicles in a row actually.

Love the truck. Can you let me know what you are getting for mileage. I am looking to trade my 2010 5.4 for the limited. I am just scared of the fuel mileage. Thanks.

Black is BY FAR my favorite color! Had a back S10, Honda, Tahoe, Mustang and Porsche. Told myself after the Tahoe... No more black trucks! Just too damn hard to keep nice (I'm extremely picky).

Went with the Sterling Gray Metallic on this route, looks nice, has some color and wont be as bad to upkeep.

Defiantly will post pics when it comes in (counting on just a few weeks)

Keep us posted on the Limited... it's strange as I was reading through the "11" owners manual today, this is what it says with respect to the "Oil Life Monitor" and the 6.2 engine:

Note: On models equipped with a 6.2L engine, your message center is
NOT equipped with the Intelligent Oil Life Monitor™. Owners of SVT
Raptor, Harley-Davidson™ and Lariat Limited models equipped with a
6.2L engine need to refer to the 7,500 mile (12,000 km) maintenance
schedule for oil change service intervals.

Then goes on to say: "Your vehicle is very sophisticated and built with multiple complex performance systems.."

Guess you lucked out with not having your Truck tell you when you need to change the oil
