I unsnapped mine to plastidip it. Its doable but a pain, especially if you dont want to break the clips.
I did black plastidip on the grille section because I figured it would be easy to remove but I doubt it will be.

Plastidip...I did mine on the truck. Not a big deal to tape it off.
