Largest tire size on stock 20's
I have done a search.... But the search on here is not the best.
Looking to get new tires for the truck. I would like to go little larger then stick size. Would 33X12.5R20 rub? |
What truck do you have?

A 305/55R20 is 33.2" tall and 12" wide and will fit right on. The 33x12.50R20 are only slightly wider, but they could rub a little.

its gonna be tight on stock 20's. you may hit the uca on full lock depending on which tire you choose but i cant say for sure

I was wondering the same thing and did a lot of research. "NASSTY" on the forum is running Nitto 295 60 20 Nitto's. That is 34.4 x 12.3 with a slight rub at full lock on the control arm. That is the biggest I have seen and I believe the only company making that size. It is a 80 psi tire.
I was going this rout but decided on going with new 17" wheels and 35 x 12.5 tires. I think it looks better, it certainly works better (you ever seen a true offroad truck with 20's) 20's are a little too much bling for me, but that's just my opinion. If you are not a offroad guy, that again is the biggest you can run. Of course that is with a leveling kit. |
I tried mounting my 33x12.5x20 toyo mts on my stock platinum rims and they would not fit, Maybe something with a less aggressive lug would work but definitely not a MT. They were rubbing the control arm, so it was a no go, so I ended up buying new rims...
