Angry Knocking until the engine warms up...new engine

I had the 5.0 engine replaced—twice—in my 2011 F150. The engine came through Nutech, which was through Autozone. The mechanic I trusted assured me that it was going to be fine. After he's had to remove the engine and replace it twice because of it, he hates seeing my number on his phone. That said, the truck now has a new tick...any ideas? Is it time for another engine. This one only has 2000 miles on it.

Here is the video:

I think this is the engine...

I would hate you too...........
If the company rebuilds the engine the same way....maybe the same issue will be repeated. Or maybe something not related to the rebuild is causing the issue?

Maybe it is time to make a note of the noise, get the mechanic to put it in writing. Then just run it. Might be worth trying different oil brand, quality tier, and or weight oil?
In fact what specific brand, tier, and weight oil are you running. Sometimes a certain oil can be noisier. This motor takes a 5w-20 wt correct. Is that what is in it?

Might be worth trying a different oil brand, wt, and a quality synthetic oil. Maybe switch up the oil filter. What warranty does the motor have?

4 year warranty. I couldn't find a mileage limit.

Heres the link to the correct engine:
https://www.autozone.com/powertrain/...ffg/920319_0_0
Here's the warranty info found on the form linked in the ad:
"- 4 years, unlimited mileage
- $50/hour parts and labor
- See our No-Fault Provision"

Did you source the engine or did the mechanic? As stated above, it looks to have a 4yr warranty, so I'd send the truck back to the mechanic for diagnosis and have him work through the vendor to work out the fix and how its getting paid for. It may not be a problem where the engine needs to come out again (it sounds top end/valve area noise to me). I understand his annoyance with the situation as 50/hr is likely half, if not more, than his normal labor rate. In any event, he should be making it right if he's the one who sourced the engine. If you sourced the engine, time to step in for some leg work.
