They will work just fine, The sub just will not physically fit as it's designed for the SuperCrew
You can always "make it fit", or take the guts out of the Kicker sub box and install them in a custom box that will fit in the Regular cab.

In my research, the Ford kit only has an 100 amp sub while the Kicker set up has 200 amp

Ok. So I apologize for digging up an old thread. I have found a killer deal for this kit on Craigslist. Looks to be brand new never installed.

So my question is this. Will this fit my truck. 2013 F150 XLT Supercrew with 4.2 in screen non Sony. I have searched and searched for this part number that’s on the decal and keep coming up empty. Someone has to know the answer. Please help a guy out! Guy wants to meet face to face which I respect, and I just happen to have friends near where he lives.

V1P8D is the Kcker model that fits the 2009-2014 Supercrew. The 9L3J-18C804-XX is the Ford part number and was different for each of the three packages it came in. SubStage (sub only) PowerStage (Sub and amp) and SoundStage (Sub amp and door speakers).

That sub will fit your truck. Did it come with any cables?

Let me look if I still have the install instructions, I might still have them around here somewhere!

Thanks for the fast reply. I seriously appreciate it. He says it comes with cables and everything. This one does not have a separate amp to install, correct? Just the black amp that is on the box. And install is simple right? Just bolt down and plug in correct?

I bought the substage used at a good price and purchased new KS door speakers as well. Very nice system and for the price can't really go wrong. Install was easy.

My only complaint is the adjustment doesn't really seem to be there. From -5 bass to +5 it doesn't seem to change much. A little, but not much.. more so when I don't want bass so I turn it down, it's still there.

For that reason I installed a switch to kill the sub if desired. Don't use it much but it's there.

Correct the amp is attached to the sub, the separate amp on some systems is for the door speakers.

As far as the installation of the sub, you will need to cut the carpet and have the M6 nut inserts installed before you can bolt up the sub. But the indents are already in the carpet and the holes are already there for the nut inserts.

As far a plugging it in, there are no existing wires, you will need to run them to the battery and to the back of the factory radio. If the cables are included, it should be a simple process, but time consuming, as you will need to disassemble half of the dash to get to back of the radio.

On mine the -5 to +5 was significant.
I would check all of your connections to make sure they are tight. When I fist installed mine I had a similar issue with the door speakers, turned out to be one connectors that did not click in place and was not making a good connection.

Thanks, I'll have to look into that. If I remember correctly, the bass signal is tapped into the rear speakers, that would be a good starting point?
