This says it doesn't work if you have the Sony system. So, what's the difference? Is there a different upgrade package if I have the Sony system with the 8" sub?

Default Installed today

I installed mine today It took 4 hours the hardest part for me was the power wires thru the grommet. it is double walled and hard to see on the inside, it was easier to pull it out of the hole and see what was going on with the wire then put it back in.sounds way better totally worth the price and time. you can see two of the rivnuts under the truck if they spin on you you can hold them with pliers. dont over tighten them they will pull out.I did it on one. good luck

What happened with your bazooka? Hope your not sitting on the couch enjoying the warm and fuzzys from the oxy's??
Anyways, I've always used the powered 8" bazooka in my trucks and was a nice addition. Not kick ***, but added some kick. It was great during my reg cab days.
Actually still have mine from the 05. Too bad I left, the year old infinity's in the doors.

Guys, vendor on here has the whole upgrade system (not for the Sony stereos) for $450 or just the subwoofer for $300. Wish I would have seen this before I ordered. Oh well, I only paid $25 more. Here is the thread:

Awesome deal!
My son just got a 2013 F150 (Same color as ours) but it's a S'cab.
I just called Beau there & the S'cab sub units are currently out of stock, but he's going to check & call me back tomorrow.
(He's got plenty for the S'crew units in stock).
For the rest of the guys on the fence for this.... this is a Great deal!

So, what do those of us with the Sony system use?

You can use the subwoofer from this system. The vendor I posted about has it for $300. I paid $325 as I didn't know about the vendor when I ordered. I received mine today and got it installed. WOW, what a difference. I am 55 and not into the window shaking subs but this one is great. Definitely way better than the stock one. Thumps really nice. Special thanks to lethalweapon_09 for answering my questions and also for the install pics. Mine didn't come with any instructions so the pics really helped. About two hours to install. Toughest part is getting the power wire through the firewall. Little tip here, a wire coat hanger is your friend here. Can't wait for my 22 year old son to ride with me. I haven't told him so I will just turn it up and see what he says. I had some JL Audio 6x8 coaxials that I had bought for my '12 GT that I never did install so I put them in the back. Ordered the Kicker components for the front that should be here Monday. That will complete my system for now. Loving it.
