Default Kicker sub replacement

I have the kicker soundstage upgrade in my truck, but I was putting stuff on the floor and accidentally ripped a hole in the sub. I have a kicker kx400.1 mono amp instead of the small amp that came with the kit and I'm looking for a sub that can handle that power and still fit in the sub box.

Any suggestions (and/or links to subs) would be greatly appreciated.

How in the world did you manage that? I have the same sub and it's supposed to be mounted down firing with the amp on top. Any way, it's a 10" sub and a 200w amp. I'm told that sub can actually handle 400w.
.

+2. Did you have the sub out and upside down when it happened? Can't you just remove the sub from the box and find the model number?

I was sliding some thin aluminum stock in from the passenger side and I think it got caught on something and bent up the corner just enough to slide under the sub and rip it (the wife was nagging about the rain and wanted to get into the truck). Yes it's mounted to upside down so the sub fires against the floor.

But yeah, the amp that comes with the kit is 200 watts. I disconnected that a while ago and installed the Kicker kx400.1 which is a 400 watt mono amp (which the sub can handle and sounded phenomenal!)

So I didn't know if I should just find out exactly what the model of the sub is and order an exact replacement, or switch out to another Kicker that can handle a bit more power.

I would pull the sub and find the model number and look up the specs. Then see if you can find a better replacement.

That's what I figured. Was looking at this one https://www.amazon.com/Kicker-40CWRT.../dp/B00BY81QEQ but not sure what the difference between the CVT and CWRT is. Both look about the shame I think

Awesome info here. Anyone know how many cubic ft the enclosure is with the kicker soundgate? I was looking to upgrade with a sundown sd-3 which calls for a minimum of .5 cu ft whereas the kicker calls for .8 cu ft. The only difference I see is that the sundown has a slightly higher mounting depth of 4.75" and the kicker has I believe 4.25". Will the sundown work in the kicker enclosure?

I think that wouldn't work. The mounting depth is too deep. The Kicker sub in the enclosure actually gets screwed to the back through the magnet. If you look on the top of the enclosure, that single 10mm bolt goes into the sub.
