Kicker Soundgate system

Go aftermarket. Hands down is the way to do your build. The Kicker is the easy way out and will sound exactly like it. Kicker is not known for their speakers.
You can get a system that sounds 100x better and even looks better with aftermarket.
I am going with Alpine SPR60C up front and Alpine SPR68 in back for speakers. These will run with the stock head unit using a PAC adapter (Cleansweep for you) connected to a Alpine PDX-V9 amp. Then a FoxBox with a Alpine SWS10D2 in it. All together, using the cheapest prices on the net, it will be right around 1000.

Kicker Soundgate system was installed by the dealer on my truck when I bought it. Wasn't necessarily want I was looking for bc I'm a JL fan and would have gone that route. The door speakers blew so freaking fast. The sun isn't bad if you just want a little boost. But I replaced my door speakers with Alpine Type R's (got a killer deal) and it sounds pretty good. Not perfect but I'm happy for now
