Angry key in switch circuit open

Hello Guys and Girls, I just bought a 2012 F150 at a dealer. The check engine light is not on but I scanned for codes anyway. It says B10F1 "key in switch circuit open". Should I get it back to the dealer or is this a simple common thing? I really like the truck and hope it's not major. Google searches are conflicting. Thanks in advance.

That DTC (B10F1) indicates there is an issue with the switch on the ignition cylinder that tells the system whether or not a key is inserted. Depending on how it fails, either you won't get a chime when the key is inserted and the driver's door is opened or the chime will sound with the door opened but no key inserted.

It's nothing major unless the chime doesn't work when it's supposed to and you only have one key and you accidentally lock it inside. Then you have a problem.

You could reset the error and see if it comes back
