Default Key Sticking in the ignition

I have a 2012 F150 and all of a sudden the key is hard going in and out of the ignition. It got stuck first but now its harder to put the key in or take it out. The spare key does the same thing, would this mean I need the ignition replaced.

squirt some graphite in there or put a little lube on your key and work it in and out.

People hear graphite and think WD40. Don't do that. Graphite is the same as a lead pencil. Rub one all over the key and see if that helps.
Something must have happened to get things stuck. With the number of ignitions out there and the very small number that fail, what got in there and messed things up may be important. It would be expensive to change out all the locks on your truck.

If nothing else works blow it out with an air hose.

Unless they changed in the last 10 years you don't have to replace all the locks, you change the tumblers in the new lock to match the original key.

I'm guessing one or more of the tumblers has dislodged and/or one of the springs. Get a new tumbler installed while you can still operate it.

They should come in a kit form with instructions and how to install tumblers for your key, that or let the dealer handle it. I've done a few in the past and it's not hard just tedious as hell.

Default Key stuck

Used compressed air in a can followed by a little lube, tumbler right now seems fine, don't know what may have caused it.
