I had one key. bought a 2 pack from ebay. had a auto locksmith program my new key (not clone) and i was able to program the 3rd key myselft with no problem. all 3 keys work including the remote. make sure you buy a good key from a good seller on ebay there are some crappy ones. and make sure your auto locksmith knows what he is doing.

On my 2011 XLT which I bought used I only received 1 key. In my case if you have 2 working keys you can program more yourself after having them cut by a locksmith.

The dealer wanted over $200 per key so I bought a 2 pack from Amazon for $35:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

and paid a locksmith $40 to cut and program them into the truck using his computer connected to the OSB II connector.

A good tip to find an able locksmith is to search for one that operates a mobile shop specializing in vehicle lock outs.

The integrated remotes are easily programmed, (did them myself), with the instructions included with the keys or searchable YouTube videos.

As I said, once you have 2 functioning keys you can program additional ones yourself without a locksmith. Again, there are YouTube videos on this.

For the remote keys, the best way to determine if the remote will work is to match up the FCC ID numbers.
If you have a remote that works, open it up and look for the FCC ID number inside.
