IDK what everyone is complaining about. Back in 2010, my wife and I bought a used 2008 ford escape. Came with only one key. No problem, i worked at a Ford dealer.

Brought it in right at 630 the following Monday, they knew about it, I was in the schedule. I left it over there all day. Went over to see how it went. No dice. Apparently the computers were down for 2 hours. And there were 10 keys to be made in front of mine. Then I find out that the escape has a safety recall, and they can't allow me to leave with the vehicle by law. No other ride home. I was then forced to get a rental car just to get home. They never told me any of this prior to me needing to get home. Said they didn't know how to get ahold of me. I worked across the parking lot!!! Literally 1/10th of a mile away.

So total, it took a day and a half. Plus$125 for the key, that was with my employee discount, then an extra $25 for the rental. All that, and I worked there!!!

OK, is it possible to re-program a new master key from my old spare master keys that are currently not ID'd to the PATS? Here is the situation: I lost my last programmed key on the golf course dang it. But I have 2 OEM keys that when I bought the truck were given to me as spares by the owner (keyed to open the door) - these keys were found by the owner after he had new keys made (his daughter lost the 1st 2 in her dorm room, but eventually found them). Question is, how do I get the F150 (2001) to recognize these "old" OEM keys again? Do I have to follow the new 3x15min process to setup one of them as the new master?
