Key Fob W/Key -VS- Fob built into Key
My wife's new Edge has the door lock/unlock built into the key, my F150 has a key and a Fob.
Can I get a key like my wife's key for my F150?
Thanks

I ask the same question at my dealer and they told me no.
I got spoiled with the key setup on my '08 Fusion SEL. It had the keyless remote built into the head of the key.
I would like to have a key like that for my new '10 XLT Screw. If anyone has a part number, I would appreciate it.

Funny thing you guys asked. I just ordered one off of fleabay after reading around and searching some other Ford car/truck threads. They didn't have our model year listed so I called the number and he said they could make one for me and ship it out. It was $44.95 shipped and I'll have to have a locksmith replicate it and program it like any other addt'l key that I would normally make. Here is the ebay seller I bought if from this afternoon. I spoke w/a guy named Cody. He said I should have it by next Wednesday at the latest.

Even though it's not advertised, I got the 'switchblade' type so the key retracts when I'm not using it. COOL!
Will let you all know how it goes...

Lots of threads on the subject. I just bought one off of Ebay, got my local key shop to cut it (they warned me they would not be responsible for errors) and reset the PATS. Threw the fobs in the drawer!!

Oh, and here's a thread from a Mustang forum where a member bought one, programmed it, and was off to the races. I don't see why it would be any harder/different for our trucks.

Exactly this as far as I know. The products purchased off of Ebay come w/full instructions on how to program the key and the fob (all of which can be found in the truck's manual).

I've had the flip key/fob from Ebay for over a year on my Fusion and for about 3 months for my Lariat; work great, cost $1 to have the guy cut the key and programmed them in about 3 minutes.
